BETTER THAN MEET THE PYRO

But seriously, this captures the insanity of the TF2 universe perfectly and sums up every single goddamn thing I love about the game.

This is a work of art.

Man, Newgrounds is changing. Or, maybe the internet is. There seems to be a lot more variety in the type of movies that get made here lately, quite a few serious, thought-provoking flashes that I've seen in the last year. I think the technology is getting better, and it's letting people do more--so more people are willing to make something that actually means something to them. Or I could be way off. Who's your inspiration by the way, art-wise? It looks very familiar for some reason (and good). It's a beautiful and ambiguous story.

The art style didn't appeal to me, though I could tell it was well animated, it seemed to be attempting to ape Egoraptor--the close up of the main characters is a perfect example. The tone was odd, couldn't really tell if it was supposed to be serious or funny, because there were a few jokes, but then it just jumped into this really forced fight scene that played out like a really old character v. character flash on this site, complete with generic dubstep soundtrack.

Then there's a character death at the end without a punchline in sight. Is this the end of this story? Will there be a continuation? It isn't clear. The highlight is definitely the voice acting, which is top notch, and surprisingly not just on RP's account.

I've drawn in this style for years and it is attrocious, I know, but no, I didn't attempt to ripoff Egoraptor. And the plot is in no way supposed to be serious at all, and it is in fact the end, but it looks like what I was going for worked... it's all confusing! :E

Ah! Interesting seeing you do something so serious, knowing your work (still very good just with a very different tone) :P I get it. He discovers "time travel" as in the emotional pain of her betrayal is so strong that it compels him to have vivid flashbacks of their time together. Dig the metaphor, the music, and the art.

If there's one complaint I do have it's that it went on too long. It was funny all the way through, but it's essentially all the same joke--a really good joke, mind you--and after a while it starts to wear thin.

While I certainly agree with the sentiment, the flash as a whole wasn't very well made. It was a little heavy handed, and therefore wasn't very funny. You were essentially giving your opinion (which you don't need comedy to do), and the few actual jokes weren't delivered well. Furthermore the plot is predictable and doesn't really add too much. It's supposed to be a "what if" situation, but it lacks the imagination those scenarios require to work. With some better voice-acting this could've been a decent movie.

Came for the sexy thumbnail, stayed for the badass singing. Touche', ma'am.

Man, it's so refreshing to see intelligent satire on Newgrounds. But you did that while keeping your signature fucked up style. Nicely done.

I write a variety of stuff, short stories, raps, other things. And now I'm arting a lil bit.
